Subject: The local transport situation
The aim of this report is to examine the transport situation in Tallinn, the capital of Estonia.
There are several positive things.
a) We have a good bus service. Buses go almost to all parts of the town. Tickets are also quite cheap and they pollute air not much as cars.
b) We also have a good tram service. It is very safe and comfortable variant and, of course, it does not harm for environment. All people can afford to buy a tram ticket.
c) There is a train station. Trains run frequently and they are very well equipped. Train station is located in the very comfortable place, which almost all people know about it.
However, there are many things which could be improved.
a) We also may have more good bicycle tracks which may run by the different part of our city.
b) A main toad goes through the town centre. It causes a lot of traffic jams as well as a lot of pollution.
c) A lot of heavy traffic comes through the town. The lorries damage different buildings and, of course, the are dangerous too.
To sum up, on the one hand Tallinn is an attractive town with good shops and many places of interest. On the other hand, the local councils need to do something to control the traffic.
